Kdrama Inspired Looks (KIL)

2012 was filled with many kdramas that were big let downs (Big and I Do I Do) and some really great dramas. One of my favorite dramas of 2012 was The King 2 Heart (킹2 Hearts). This drama, set in monarchical modern day S.Korea, stars my favorite female action actress Ha Ji Won. What I love about this drama is that it is not your typical love story with a damsel in distress. The lead female is more than capable of saving herself and at one point even her man. Anyway the look of the week is taken from a minor character played by Lee Yoon Ji. She plays princess Lee Jae Sin and of course she has a wardrobe fit for royalty. This is my favorite look from her character and how I would put it together.

Hot Pink Leopard

This week is the last week of my winter vacation before I have to start spring semester. Because I'm trying to savor every bit of it, I haven't had the chance to take any outfit pictures. What I do have is a picture of my new favorite flats. In October I had the chance (and a little bit of money) to stop by Forever 21. As I was browsing through the sales section, I came across a cute pair of leopard flats. As fate would have it, there was only one pair left and they were a size 6. I was able to get these pair for only $10.

Kdrama Inspired Looks (KIL)

Besides fashion, I am really into South Korean Dramas. South Korean dramas, or Kdramas, are Korean TV shows that are usually 16 to 24 episodes long at about an hour an episode. The stories can range from action to love stories with complex love triangles (my favorite). I tend to watch 10 to 15 hours a week of Kdramas which can sometimes interfere with my daily life. One thing that I have picked up from the dramas beside some of the language (hours of watching it will do that) is the fashion. I have noticed that South Korea has some of the cutest fashions and I draw most of my inspiration from their styles. Since I spend so much time watching Kdramas and trying to emulate some of the styles, I thought a great new weekly segment would revolve around my two favorite things: fashion and Kdramas.  A Recent drama I have fallen in love with is Dream High(드림하이). The lead role is played by Bae Suzy who wears some cute outfits throughout the drama. Here is an outfit I loved and how I would create a similar outfit.
